Paul Russo is devastated when his wife, Allison, finally succumbs to the cancer she’s beeneBook Review Gal Book Review of Stillwell by Michael Phillip Cash fighting for months. Despite having tried every possible cure, Allison is gone and Paul is left to raise their three young children. The disease has quickly depleted Paul’s finances, so when a reportedly haunted Long Island mansion is ready to be sold, Paul reluctantly accepts to represent the sellers as the real estate agent. As Paul digs deeper into the mansion’s sordid past, he’s horrified to find that he’s being hunted by a terrifying demon who just might be holding his deceased wife’s soul hostage.

Like all of Michael Phillip Cash’s books, this story is much more than just a haunted tale. Mr. Cash masterfully intertwines romance, family relationships, mystery, suspense and history all in one engaging and provocative book. It’s not a long book, yet the characters and plot are so extremely well developed, readers can’t help but be drawn in from the start. The suspense is exceptionally well paced and it all leads to an unexpected, surprising and satisfying ending.

I love Michael Phillip Cash’s books. The elements of the paranormal are intriguing and I enjoy the bits of history he scatters throughout his stories. I highly recommend Stillwell to readers who enjoy paranormal books!
