Review of Coming Home by Kimberley O’Malley

Dr. Elizabeth Fitzgerald is forced to return to her hometown after ten years of being away. Her mother has had a massive heart attack and the last thing Elizabeth wanted was to revisit the heartbreak of her past, but she has no choice. Elizabeth quickly falls in with old friends and a few enemies, but the tension and mistrust is still fresh in the minds of the people Elizabeth left behind. Sam has held a torch for Elizabeth for far too long and he finally has his chance to set things right. Will the two old friends take their relationship to a new level?

This is an engaging and interesting romance. There’s a little more spice than I normally like in my romance, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for me. The writing is good, the editing wasn’t perfect – but again, nothing terrible.

Coming Home is heartwarming, romantic and spicy enough for those who enjoy their romance a notch above a G rating. It’s super short and makes a great summer poolside read. I’d certainly be willing to read more from this author!
